Peace & Conflict Analysis, Mediation & Foreign Policy
I am currently working on a background analysis of the revolutionary process in Tunisia. I therefore interviewed Prime Minister Habib Essid on Monday, November 23rd and Nobel Peace Laureate Abdessatar Ben Mussa on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015.

The anthology “Revolution as a process” addresses the Arab Spring and the role of Egypt in its context. In line with the book presentation, the two Austrian social scientists Adham Hamed (University of Innsbruck) and Thomas Schmidinger (University of Vienna), together with their Egyptian colleagues Fatema Niazy and Aly El Raggal, presented their research and invited the audience to discuss the matter.

Am 3. August 2015 war ich live zu Gast im Studio von Radio Freirad. Mit Anna Greissig habe ich mich dort über das Innsbruck Academic Festival of Many Peaces unterhalten, das von 9.-14. August in Innsbruck stattfinden wird. Hier gibt’s die Sendung zum Nachhören.
Am 17. November 2015 referiere ich im Rahmen der sechsteiligen Workshop-Reihe „Europa und die arabische Welt“ an der Universität Innsbruck zum Thema „Flucht und Revolution fünf Jahre nach Mubarak“. Die Anmeldung ist noch bis 30. Juni möglich.
